About Us

The artistic association Unplush was founded 2015 in Bern. It proposes interdisciplinary productions inside and outside the frame of theatres in Switzerland and abroad. Under the direction of Marion Zurbach, the company brings together artists from several fields such as dance, theatre, electronic music, visual arts, graphic design and poetry slam, to explore the vast potential of performance formats. Unplush also organises UNPLUSH INVITES, an event format merging electronic music with live performances and AMACLUB, a creative platform for amateur dancers.

In 2018, UNPLUSH has been awarded a three-year support by PRAIRIE, the co-production model of Migros Kulturprozent for innovative Swiss theater and dance companies.

Minimally Invasive Procedure takes as its starting point the child’s experience in a high-level dance school. The piece questions the institution, while revisiting memories of the performer.

What about the child and his body? His panic when he sees the change at puberty? His dismay facing injuries and doctors, fragility and loneliness?

But what it also its moments of joy, solidarity, pride and determination?
