OF HUMANS AND OTHER ARTIFACTS
Of Humans and other Artifacts is a dance and theatrical piece for five dancers accompanied by an electronic musician. The artistic aim of the piece is to look over the irrational relationship humans perpetuate with their creations, leaving space to the topic to resonate in its fears and fascinations. The piece is divided in four tableaux, which introduce through rituals or imitation games different physical approaches to a functional, affective and magical human self-identification. Each tableau develops through the expression of uncommon characters, such as a Chinese mythology goddess, a mermaid, over-sized chorus children, mariachis, cosmonauts and more.
